Neurocreative guide holding a mindful drawing for emotional clarity, self-reflection, and inner balance.

A drawing can sometimes say more than words

Everyone chooses their own path to self-discovery. Mine was revealed to me through the visual NeuroCreative practice...

What began as a personal discovery has now become both my passion and my work. As I guide people through the creative process and reflect with them on their drawings, I see more clearly that each of us experiences life, challenges, and inner questions in a different way. That is why answers and solutions also emerge differently for everyone.

A drawing can help us see what is sometimes difficult to understand through words or thinking alone.

Change begins when we understand our emotions more clearly, recognise inner tension, and become aware of old, recurring beliefs. Through a mindful creative process, we can see a situation from a new perspective, shift familiar patterns of thinking, and form new inner connections that help us move towards a clearer direction.

Ruta Valiukoniene and neurocreative practice

Let’s get acquainted !

I’m Rūta Valiukonienė. My name was chosen by two people who are very dear to me: my brother and my grandfather.

In Lithuanian culture, rue is a plant with deep symbolic meaning, traditionally associated with spiritual purity, femininity, and inner strength. In Hebrew, the name Ruth means a friend or a close companion.
I feel that the meaning of my name is naturally reflected in the work I do today. Through mindful creative processes, I create a space where a person can feel safe, accepted, and supported.

I am the founder of “Neuro Me by Rūta,” a certified mindful visual method facilitator and coach, as well as a ThetaHealing and metaphorical associative cards practitioner.

Human psychology, creative and art therapy-inspired practices, aromatherapy, mindfulness, spiritual practices, and a deep interest in the human inner world all hold an important place in my life.

My Journey

I was born in Lithuania, but I have been living in Denmark for many years. These two countries and cultures have become an important part of my life. In their own way, they have shaped my character, perspective, values, and the way I connect with people.

I am also a mother and a wife. Family life and motherhood awakened feelings and desires in me that I had never known before, as well as the courage to follow the path that truly feels right for me.

Before finding the work I do today, I lived in five different countries: Lithuania, Denmark, Spain, New Zealand, and Australia. I explored different professional paths in marketing, tourism, hospitality, and finance. Each stage gave me valuable experience, yet over time I felt more and more strongly that I wanted to work more closely with people and their inner world.

Mindfulness and spiritual practices had a great influence on my journey. They helped me grow, listen to myself more deeply, and understand more clearly who I am, who I want to become, and what I want to share with others.

A meaningful turning point came when I discovered visual self-reflection and creative methods. They showed me that we do not find every answer through talking or thinking alone. Sometimes what is difficult to express in words becomes clearer through a drawing, lines, colours, and symbols.

What began as a personal journey of self-discovery has now become my work.

How I work?

Today, I guide people through mindful creative processes that help them pause, see an important situation from a new perspective, and reconnect with their own inner answers.

My role is to create and guide the process, ask thoughtful questions, invite reflection, and help each person notice what begins to emerge through drawing, feeling, and self-observation.

The kind of creativity I value is not focused on creating a beautiful result. Instead, it offers an opportunity to:

  • understand emotions and needs more deeply;

  • notice inner tension and recurring patterns of thought;

  • look at a situation from a new perspective;

  • clarify what feels most important right now;

  • discover a possible solution or a clearer direction.

No drawing experience is needed. What matters is what a person notices and understands about themselves during the creative process.

What I believe?

I believe that many of the answers are already within us. At times, however, they are hidden beneath constant busyness, inner tension, fear, or familiar patterns of thinking.

The creative process offers space to pause, listen inwardly, and notice what we often miss when relying on thought alone.

My path is one of continuous self-discovery, growth, and a deeper connection with my inner world.

Today, I share with others what I continue to discover along the way.
